[...] It has been brough to my attention this blog is not being updated regularly. Some readers have expressed concern that my once thought provoking blog has become stagnant…that my in depth analysis of subjects such as Google’s quirkiness, my computer’s desire to become more culturally aware and cool new advertising tactics have been replaced by the occasional link to something linked to by a million other blogs.
I understand your plight, although I'm sorry to say it is very difficult (if not impossible) to consistantly push your page to the top of the rankings with anything other than massive site traffic. the "unnamed" search engine uses complex functions to determine the order of the organic page listing... and gives no favors to URL's or sites that refer frequently to the searched term. What is more consistantly considered is the amount of other sites that link to your site with a reference to your search term (example, if I post a link on my site to your site that says "Visit Ryan Inselmann's Site"... the computer system will see that and give you props in the rankings for that link to your site). You can print your name over and over in your own site with no consistant benfits in the g@@gle - er, unnamed serach engines rankings.

Well, I'm trying to do my part...just added the rss URL of your blog to my rss reader Konfabulator widget :)

Perhaps if I set it to update 4000 times a day our little unnamed search engine will at least return the URL to your RSS feed? Of course you could just take advantage of child labor and get lots of kids to change as many public computers they can find and switch the homepages to ryaninselmann.com. Then again it seems that everyone loves installing spyware on thier computers, so why not write some for the lovely grannys who think thier computer is a living breathing human?

ps - do you know the style for your preview page for comments messed up? The text is dark gray on the gray background that usually makes up the outside borders of the page. Basically the center light gray area that is normally in the center behind the text isn't there. Also, the paragraph breaks I put in the text box are ignored. Ya, ya, it's eric, the QA nerd who finds every little thing wrong with what you do...

There, are you happy now? I should've just taken the preview button off. Geez. Who previews their comments?

The author of this comment would like to apologize to all comment previewers, including the author of this comment, for this hurtful remark.
