Fantasy Football

I’ve been bitten by the Fantasy Football Bug. Who would’ve thought that watching football could be more exciting that it already is. Whoever thought of Fantasy Football has really helped the teams. Let’s take Philly for example. Why should I care about them or watching their games? They are the enemies of the Cowboys? No, that would give me a reason to hope that they die… all of them, but that does not get me interested in watching them. Is it because I’m interested to see if a team that has had three coulda been seasons in a row finally make it to the Super Bowl. Of course not! About the only interest I have in their Superbowl bid is the effect it has on the Cowboys’ bid. So what could possibly have me rooting for Donovan McNabb and Leon…I mean Terrell Owens every week?! Because MCNABB AND TO ARE GOING TO CARRY ME TO THE FANTASY SUPERBOWL!!! WOOHOO!!! (or woot!!! for nerdy types)

CSS Vault – The Web’s CSS Site

I just discovered this site, CSS Vault - The Web’s CSS Site. As the name implies, it is a great CSS resource, pretty much a one stop shop for CSS info. Being new to CSS and web standards, and being somewhat new to webdesign, it is really great to see what can be done.

Computer Issues

Ok, the French computer has been deported and my English speaking pc (who had previously been held hostage) has been returned, and all is well in the Inselmann household. So anyway, if you are looking for a cool visual style setup for Windows XP and you don’t speak French, maybe downloading and installing winosx isn’t for you. However, if you do speak French, by all means, install away.

Smart Husband

So, you all were wondering about the infinite wisdom behind this site. The truth comes out as we realize that Ryan is really quite confused. He actually doesn’t know what language he speaks as he managed to download a program off an obviously FRENCH site, so now our super cool, amazingly fast computer is in French.

Another One?

hope

Hmmm, it seems this is contagious…or maybe it’s hereditary. Well folks, now you’ve met my wife, Hope. She is very pretty isn’t she? I’m sure she’ll get mad when she see’s this post, but I think it’s a good pic.

New Discovery Hoax

Ok, so the new discovery was my sister-in-law, Brianne. Really, I knew all along it wasn’t a new species, so please forgive me for the grief I have caused in the scientific community. I would take down the picture, but honestly, you’ve seen the site…I need the content. It’s Friday, so work is boring (not because it’s Friday, I just threw that in for good measure.) Well, at least I have this blog to kill some time with. It would be much cooler if people actually read the thing… well, maybe not. If people actually read my blog I would feel obligated to write something profound, or at least interesting. So I suppose it’s good that no one reads it, so I can write whatever junk I please and just be happy that I have a semi-cool looking site with no content or audience. ..

New Discovery

brianne

Well, we’re not sure what this is, but we found it on our way to North Carolina. It’s kind of interesting, like a cross between a monkey and chimpanzee. I think it’s a new species. I shall call it a monkanzee! I wonder what they eat? Hmmm… so much to learn.

There really will be more on this site soon… I promise. Checks off on todo list, “inform my only visitor, myself, that there really will be more on this site soon… I promise.”

Vacation

I just got back from vacation in North Carolina. We went to Emerald Isle with Hope’s family. I’ll have some pictures up later. That is, as soon as I make a photos section, which I may do today, since I have some pictures.

Anyway, Emerald Isle was fun. We went to the beach most days which is cool until you take a shower afterward and your shower fills up with little pebbles and sand, but I think it was worth it. I’m not sure if playing golf was worth it, but I did play…badly, and will probably play again soon, since I did make the one decent shot that keeps me going back. We saw Spider Man 2 on Thursday, and it was great. I liked it much more than the first movie.

Saturday, the fun was over and it was time to drive back home. The trip is two days so we left pretty early, but we had to go shop at Belk, as we still had wedding money from last year (in the form of Belk gift certificates), and we have no Belks near us. We had already decided to get a blender, which I don’t care too much about, but Hope wants to be able to make margarita’s and has been begging for a blender for a year now, so we got a blender. It was only after we got it that I realized she likes her margarita’s on the rocks. Oh well, I told her she has to make me a milkshake. She agreed, and it looks like this blender thing just might work out. So, the trip was a success and now we are home and amazingly, work is still boring.

Site Design

Well, there’s still not a whole lot of content, but at least the site design is mostly complete. I say mostly, because I keep finding little things I want to change, but all the pages are functioning properly. I finally settled on WordPress to power this blog. It seems pretty cool so far. It was fairly easy to set up, although php has to be run via cgi on my server, so that was a bit of a pain, but it works great, so I can’t complain.

I had a slight problem with a mysterious border an some extra characters showing up in ie 6. I finally found the solution to my very strange problem here if you are interested. I didn’t know how much I didn’t like ie until I started developing this site. Anyway, I have defeated ie for now, so that’s good.

Ok, that’s all I got. Bye.
